“Hear this, O Job, Stop and consider the wondrous works of God.“ Job 37:14
I am thanking God today for Mrs. Clater, my kindergarten teacher. Each morning she rallied a classroom of five and six-year-old rugrats into a semicircle and taught us hymns and bible verses… If you can imagine doing that! 🙃 I’m eternally grateful for her perseverance and diligence in caring for our little souls. Later that would payoff an eternal dividend in my life.
One day Mrs. Clater taught us Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man is come to seek and save that which is lost.” It was during that time in my life that the truth of scripture became real to me. At the age of 6, while at home with my mom, I got down on my knees, repented of my sin, and asked Jesus to save me.
My prayer for today is:
Dear Lord,
Please raise up more Mrs. Claters. People who will love You and care for the souls of others. Help me to be that kind of servant in reaching little children for the kingdom. “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)
Here’s one of the choruses I learned as a child. God often brings it to mind.

Stop and let me tell you what the Lord has done for me
He forgave my sin, and
He saved my soul
He cleansed my heart and
He made me whole
Stop and let me tell you what the Lord has done for me
