How Can I Keep from Singing?

I’m as excited now as I was 45 years ago when I first trusted the Savior.  It has become my joy to learn about Him and share His truths with others and thus making it possible to celebrate this relationship together. As the scripture says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1). It is also good to talk about what God has done and is currently doing in our lives. With a God who is infinite there is always an abundance of things to discuss and give thanks for.  Sometimes, I fear, we take this life too seriously and allow our joy to be robbed as the cares of the world take hold. 😂

As I begin this blogging journey, my hope is that this produces a song from my heart to you and your home. May our faith be contagious as we let Jesus write the story of our lives.  What a difference He makes if we will let him reign in our homes!  As Jehovah-jireh He is the lavish provider who alone will strengthen us along the way.  He is our ever present Guide through everything life throws at us and knows that what He began He will complete (Philippians 1:6).  As the Psalmist said, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1).

Simple words and simple truths are the building blocks of precept upon precept which the very Creator of the universe gives us as bite sized pieces to build our lives upon.  He wants to write this same story for you. The details may be different but the end product is the same as we are chiseled into the the image of Christ… If you will let the Master do His work.   Give the Lord permission to open up your clenched jaws and shackled hands and feet to break the silence that is deafening. Our God is alive and if we remain silent than the rocks and hills will cry out instead! (Luke 19:40).

My prayer for today…

O Lord Jesus! Please come into my life and live through me. Take my whisper of a voice and amplify it to a world of clanging cymbals. May You be exalted in our hearts and homes today! In Your Name! Amen.
